While we can not predict all your inquiries, here are a few commonly asked questions we have been asked regarding services.
Q: How do I schedule an appointment for immediate delivery?
A: We schedule 24 hr. next day delivery on individual menu items in the Charlotte metro area. Allen & Denise's Child Catering and Delivery Service may deliver 40 miles from our Kannapolis kitchen location. If you wish to schedule an advanced delivery there is a calendar on your cart to choose the desired date and time. Once selected proceed to checkout to confirm payment. You will then get notification of your order and confirmation. There is a $14.99 minimum on delivery orders within our 40-mile delivery location and a standard delivery fee of $8.99
Q: Do you offer pickup services?
A: Yes, we offer scheduled pickups at David Cox Post Office 3515 David Cox Rd, Charlotte, NC 28269. There is an option for local addresses to choose either option in your cart to ship or pickup.
Q: How do I schedule an advance appointment for catering events, meal plans, and onsite/virtual cooking classes?
A: Download the Allen & Denise's Child Catering Questionnaire. Once complete, a member of our team will be in touch with you regarding your selections.
Q: How much are virtual and onsite chef experiences?
A: Standard - We charge $55/hr. to virtually instruct via Zoom. A food items list is provided for this chef experience.
Enhanced - If you would like us to come onsite and instruct $65/hr. Food items are provided.
Supreme - The full experience at $75/hr. includes a catered meal, dinner setup, and a specially designed keepsake. Food items are provided.
The Enhanced and Supreme options will add discounted food costs depending on the meal and size. The final amount will be invoiced prior to the event date. We ask that all reservations for chef experiences be made 5 business days in advance from the requested date of the virtual or onsite experience. We book at 2 hr. minimums for all events. This includes all preparation and cleanup for those onsite Enhanced and Supreme packages.
Q: Do you provide meal recipes if I wish to chef for myself?
A: Yes, we do provide meal plans and recipes. A $30 30-minute consultation will provide you with a week of meals (10 meals, 2 meals per 5 days) based on your preferences. You will start with downloading the Allen & Denise's Child Catering Questionnaire. Select the option for meal consultation on the form.
Q:What if I want a meal catered that is not on your menu?
A: Contact us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org about catering needs specific to diet or restrictions. We customize and create a variety of options that will fit any request for both individual and corporate clients.
Q: Are your meals vegan or vegetarian?
A: Both, we have some meal options that are vegan based like our Cashew-Cake minis while others are vegetarian like our Breakfast Veggie Hash. Some of our menu items use egg and cheese. Also, recipes have often included allergens like nuts (cashews, almonds, peanuts). We advise you to carefully read the ingredients in our catalog before purchasing.
Q: Do you have meal plans?
A: Yes, we offer meal plans of any of our catalog items in addition to protein or vegetable-based entrees. A client may create a customized menu based on their preferences. Select Meal Plans start at 1 - 3 meals for 5 days. We have a questionnaire Allen & Denise's Child Catering Questionnaire that you may download and complete. A member of our team will reach out to you to discuss menu options and possibilities. You will be separately invoiced based on the selections and scheduled for a delivery date.
Q: What is your pricing for meal plans?
A: Meal packaging starts at 5 meals at $13.99 or $70 plus applicable taxes, and fees. If you decide to order biweekly or monthly, a markdown may be provided for bulk orders.
Q: Can I have items shipped if I am not within the local area?
A: Yes, we do ship nationwide via UPS 2-Day Shipping. We provide a discounted rate on shipping costs, and all charges are paid by the customer to begin any order fulfillment. We strive to maintain optimal freshness when packaging perishable items. All items are vacuum-sealed and shipped with dry ice and insulated packaging. Depending on your order date, shipping will be performed the following Tuesday or Thursday to ensure freshness and 2-Day delivery. Please be advised that if a different shipping method is selected, delivery times will vary. A receipt confirmation from UPS will be sent at that time.
